News for January 2013
1. The Friends have written
to Shire of Murray recommending that a non powered launch site be included in
the feasibility study for a boat ramp at Wellya Crescent South
Yunderup
2. Consultation is
almost finalised between ourselves, City of Mandurah and the Disability Access
Advisory Group in compiling a flyer inviting anyone with limited mobility or
who uses a wheelchair to respond re: the provision of a canoe /kayak launch
site within City of Mandurah waterways
3. The “Ideas
Meeting “ for Friends of Samphire Cove will be held as soon as possible,
unfortunately Nicole from DEC is part of the team ridding rats from Penguin
Island
4. We along with
other similar groups have expressed interest in having a stall at the City of
Mandurah’s, Stretch Festival to be held on Saturday 4 May 2013
